Fritz and Juno

We had Christmas with Joe's family and we took Juno down with us so she could play with Joe's Dad's shepherd, Fritz. They loved each other! They ran around the backyard for a good 45 mins! Juno was running at top speed and Fritz was just galloping. The size difference was ridiculous! Fritz weighs twice as much as Juno does! We can only hope she gets that big! The video below shows the two of them running around for a little. It was nonstop! Fritz would stop for a little while and Juno would lay down on her back, but in less than 2 minutes they were back to playing! We will have to get them together more often!

Christmas Eve/Morning

The stockings that were on back order came just in time for Christmas morning. Juno was waiting at the top of the stairs to come down on Christmas morning, just like a little kid! Her and daddy were playing all morning! Juno's stocking was full of treats and 2 new sqeaker toys (her favorite)! I got a DVD player for the living room and book 3 and 4 of the Twilight series! Joe got some Under Armour and a signed personalized print from Tom Brady... (I called in a few favors)! All in all it was a great Christmas. After have time at home in the morning we went to my dad's house for Christmas dinner. Below is a video of Juno and daddy... so cute!

Buddies

Finally after 4 months the cats and dog don't mind each other! The cats used to run from the dog or not come up from downstairs unless they knew she was in her crate. Now, they are always together, even sleeping together sometimes! Jasmine never stays still long enough for a picture but Durango is always laying around and is quite the ham!

Christmas Decorations

Here are the animals enjoying the Christmas decorations. Joe and I had the house decorated by Thanksgiving night! The animals all have their stockings, however, Joe and I are still waiting for ours... they are on backorder! Walking the dog the next morning we received 3 compliments on the house! Although I love the lights outside and the wreaths in each window, my favorite is the inside! We have lighted garland going up the stair case and framing the arch from the living room to the kitchen. And of course we love looking at the tree! Right now there are only lights on the tree because we don't really have ornaments. I think Santa may help with that this year... Next step is getting the stockings hung on the staircase. I ordered mine and Joe's and expect them any day now! The dog, cats and turtle got their own as well! Pottery Barn had them all on clearance, I can't wait!

PSU and the Cabin

Joe and I, and Jen and Steve had a weekend away at our cabin. We had a blast! Joe and Steve got to go to the game. This was a first for Steve! We also celebrated his birthday early!

Happy Birthday Steve!

A ninja invaded the cabin!

Smacking golf balls off the side of the mountain. We were counting how long it took to hear a sound. Some really made a loud crack! Joe really got under this one!

Joe looking very metro in this picture...

Downtown State College! So pretty with all the lights!

Nate and Inkyo joined us for the game! This was a first for Inkyo! We wanted to show her a little American football craziness! She had a blast!

The one and only JOEPA!!!

We didn't think it was ever going to stop raining!

The boys in their matching hats... they were so excited!

A Walk in the Park

Today was the perfect morning! As we do every Sunday, we woke up and went to Dosie Dough for coffee, bagels, and dog treats! Since it was so nice, we decided to go to Lititz Springs Park to walk Juno and take some pictures. Joe photography is really taking off! He is working on postcards of buildings and popular sites in Lititz. Juno loves the park, wrestling in the leaves, chasing the ducks, and debating whether to jump in the water or not! The park is beautiful in the fall and the sun was shining through the trees just perfectly. The reflections in the water were crystal clear! All in all we had a great morning!

Juno's Graduation

Juno graduated from puppy kindergarten last night! She did all of her commands including sit, stay, heel, come, leave it, and look. She graduated top of the class. Daddy was so proud, he didn't stop smiling the whole time. She got a diploma and wore her graduation cap! We were so proud of all her hard work (and ours)!

PSU VICTORY!

Juno is celebrating Penn State smearing Michigan! Although we got off to a rough start, State prevailed! Juno was playing with her PSU squeaker toy and her football all afternoon!

Muffin Street - Lancaster, PA

I am so proud of Joe! He made a connection with owner of The Muffin Street Bakery in Lancaster. The owner took interest in Joe's photography and asked Joe to display pictures in the cafe during Lancaster's ArtWalk this weekend! We printed 14 photographs, matted them, and displayed them this morning. While we were there we tried the coffee and had breakfast. I had homemade blueberry oatmeal, which was amazing, and Joe had a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. Everything was so good and the Muffin St blend coffee was the perfect warm-up on a such a chilly day! Below is the front of the bakery which is located at 18 W. Orange St. (right on the corner of Orange and the alley that goes to market.) If you are out and about in Lancaster this weekend, take a look! If you can't get to Lancaster this weekend, you have to make time soon to at least visit the cafe. The food is amazing but better yet, it is a warm cozy place to sit and talk! I think Fridays and Saturdays there is live music AND it is wireless! This place makes me love Lancaster City even more! You can see Joe's pictures on his blog, Dot Photography (named after his mom Dottie, who passed away when he was young). The link is on this page under some of my favorite blogs... Check it out and vote for your favorite!

I LOVE Fall!

I am slowly getting into decorating the house. As of now, I decorated the outside only and that was only because everything was already 50% at AC MOORE. The mums are an attempt at a green thumb... I'm even planning on planting them in a few weeks!?!?! We shall see...
I am taking the decorating in strides and am slowly starting to collect Christmas things for inside AND outside. We have our tree from last year already but it was a little bare so I am looking for ornaments but I feel like they are either cheezy or just plain weird!?!? Anyway, as always I have the scents of the season lined up, thanks to Yankee Candle, I guess the decor will eventually come... Of course I had to take a picture of my growing baby! She greets me at the door every afternoon! She turned 4 months old on Saturday and is weighing in at 35lbs! She is so strong and practically knocks me down when she jumps on me.

We're both officially 30!

As of Monday, Joe AND I are both officially 30! We celebrated Joe's birthday back in July with a surprise party for Joe! He was so surprised and the best surprise of all was that his brother Frank, sister-in-law Lauren, and niece Bethy came up from Delaware! Everyone had a great time swimming and eating!
Last week, the Friday before my birthday Joe took me to The Hershey Hotel for a FABULOUS dinner! We got all dressed up and were spoiled rotten! We started out with bread and butter. However it was not your usual bread and butter... Joe had chocolate bread and chocolate butter! I had sourdough bread and butternut squash butter! Then we had a duck patee (sp?) which was out-of-this-world! For appetizers Joe had Kolby steak and I had lobster bisque. For dinner it was NY strip steak and venison medallions. After dinner Joe had a triple chocolate cake/cheesecake thing and I ordered 3 different kinds of cheese! We were there for almost 2 hours! I think I drank 2 bottles of wine! Needless to say we had a blast! And to top this off, Newt Gingrich was eating at the table next to us! Not a bad way to enter our 30's...

Wrestling Match

Daddy and Juno were wrestling last night! I think we can see who the winner was! Juno is getting so big! We have had her 3 weeks now and she has gained 9 1/2 pounds! Last night was her first night of puppy kindergarten. Everyone made such a fuss over how pretty she was! She needs to be in the advanced class because she already knows several commands such as sit, down, speak, come, etc. She's so smart, what can I say!?!?

Penn State Puppy

Juno is getting reading for her first PENN STATE game this weekend! She plays with her PSU pull toy, getting all rough and tough and growling like a linebacker! She is ready rain or shine with her PSU rain slicker. She wears it around the neighborhood and prances with pride! I think she is a German Shepherd Mix with a little Nittany Lion!!!
