Tattoos

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! I decided to get another tattoo for my birthday!

This was my first tat back in college. It means to teach and inspire.

This is the tattoo I just got in Sept! I love it! Turtles are good luck. The type of turtle on my foot is a Florida Terapin. Joe's turtle Spartacus was the inspiration for this tat!

Wolf Sanctuary

I never knew there was a wolf sanctuary in Lititz! Joe and I went one Sunday afternoon to check it out! It was really cool! The wolves were so cute especially one named Tyoga... all 180lbs of him!!!! We had a great time!

PSU vs Syracuse 9/09

Joe and I went to PSU for the weekend to catch a game and celebrate my birthday! We met up with Bagel and Jere and had a great time! It was a little cold and wet but we made the best of it! The cabin was fun and Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day!

New Job Celebration! 9/09

I took a new job! As I was driving home from North Carolina I received a phone call to interview at George Washington Elementary in Lancaster City. I interviewed the next day and was offered the Dean of Students position. This is the first step toward becoming a principal and I am more than willing to take the challenge. Although I am sad to leave Warwick I am ready to do back to School District of Lancaster! My heart always has and always will be in the city! The best part is that Washington is the first school my pappy was principal at!

To celebrate, my dad had a picnic at his place on Labor Day weekend. Family and friends came to celebrate my new job and an early birthday for me as well!

I will start in School District of Lancaster the last week of October! I can't wait!

NC - AGAIN! 8/09

I took another trip down to the dirty south! I just couldn't stay away! This time Juno and I drove down. We had a blast!

Chelsea vs. Milan 7/24/09

Joe and I got tickets to the Chelsea vs Milan game in Baltimore! It was no Manchester United but we had a blast! We met up with Josh and Jessica and went out on the town after the game! Next up... Manchester in England! We can dream right?

4th of July

I LOVE FIREWORKS and I LOVE 4th OF JULY!

The holiday weekend started out by spending time Friday at the Lancaster Country Club for dinner and fireworks with the Browns. We had a blast! Then Saturday, Juno and I went picnic hopping. She got to play with her brother, Ivan AND her sister, Mitzi! Mitzi and Juno didn't really get along but they did long enough for a photo opt! Later that night I met Katie and Simone, who were visiting her mom in Millerstown, for a picnic, fireworks, and a night on the town in Harrisburg! The weekend ended at my dad's with friends and family for a picnic! It was a great weekend!

Raleigh, NC

I can't stay away from the Dirty South! I LOVE IT! I went down to surprise Katie, my college roommate! Her husband Simone and I planned the surprise for about 3 weeks! She was SHOCKED! While I was down there I had to pick up some of my new favorite drink... FIREFLY! I introduced Katie, Simone, and all their friends to Firefly! They LOVED it too!

Bacon Goodness...

Thanks to my brother's creative invention/recipe, Joe and I enjoyed a bacon goodness breakfast! (Actually Joe ate most of it!) Step #1 - Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Step #2 - Weave a package of raw bacon like a basket. Step #3 - Using a rolling pin, spread sausage over the bacon. Step #4 - Put a layer of your cheese of choice on top of sausage. Step #5 - scramble about 8-10 eggs and place on top of cheese. Step #6 - Roll up bacon goodness and place on a baking sheet seam down. Bake for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours checking it as you go! ENJOY!!!

Memorial Day

I was a little late in decorating the house for Memorial Day but at least it got done! I have been trying to keep the flowers alive in the front flower bed and so far so good!

Dog Park

I broke down and bought a membership to the dog park in Manheim Township. This is Juno's favorite hangout! She has lots of friends that she plays with! We go about 4 times a week! Saturday was a special day because there was a little pool for the dogs to swim in. Juno wasn't really sure what to expect but once I forced her to go in the pool she LOVED it!

This is a dog we met at the park for the first time... she looks EXACTLY like Juno! They have similar markings and fur! After talking to the owner, they even have very similar habits! They rescued the dog and don't know what breed or mix of breed she is. Interesting...

Junior League 85th Gala

To start of Memorial Day weekend Joe and I attended the Junior League of Lancaster 85th Celebration Gala at Bent Creek. The night was enjoyed by all! Joe was asked to provide 3 prints to show case in the gallery art auction! It was very exciting to see his art work displayed in such a professional manner!

Below is a picture of ladies from Gaudenzia's Vantage House. The program was honored as a past project. This was special to me because this was our new member group project! They were very surprised by the $1000 donation!

(I took this picture off the computer... I had to buy it from the photographer, Nick Gould, who was wonderful! That's why it is fuzzy... )

The Animals

Juno got her first haircut on Saturday. She spent the day at Doggy Day Care and our favorite groomer pulled her out and gave her a bath, brushed her teeth, clipped her nails, and gave her a hair cut! She looks so much older and fatter!

The twins love sleeping together!

Juno LOVES the snow!

We think Juno must be mixed with Husky because she LOVES the snow! She will sit by the door and whine until we let her out! She just runs circles in the backyard! She also loves to eat the snow! The pictures are from the storm last night. We got a foot of snow!!!

This is from today... From about 9pm - 5am we got almost a foot of snow while only 5 miles away was completely dry! It was a freak band of a snow storm that had a span of only 8 miles!
